We are delighted to congratulate Ms. Moones Payameni, a national-entry student of the 1401 cohort at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Iran University of Medical Sciences, for achieving third place at the 2nd Iran Pharmacognosy Congress.

The congress was held on 14–15 November 2025 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, in collaboration with the Iranian Pharmacognosy Society and the Headquarters for the Development of Knowledge-Based Economy of Medicinal Plants.

Ms. Payameni’s paper, titled:"Evaluation of Anti-Diabetic Effects ofPaliurus spina-christiFruit Extracts on Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats and of AMPK and AKT Pathways in Wistar Rat Liver Tissue"was awarded third place at the event.

The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates her and her supervising professors Dr. Sabernavaei on this achievement and wishes her continued success in her future academic and research endeavors.
